Memorial Day Weekend

We love our Memorial Day Weekends - a great time to get with our family's and obviously remember those that have passed on with funny and memorable stories about them. 

We always go camping. But somehow ALWAYS get snowed out. 

This year my Boss-man and Phi got to come up and hang out. Ok along with their dad too.

It was 40 minutes outside playing, and coming in for an hour to warm up. BRRRRR!

The snow started...But we tried to stick it out with the campfire!

But in the end the cold won out and we packed up and headed out :( But atleast we got some family time in!

Swimming Isla Style

Oh yes. This is how Isla likes to swim. Rain boots, swimsuit, and Boston's undies. 

So glad Summer is coming.

Cruise Moab 2012

Micah has another love. It's name is The Coyote. It's a 1973 Toyota FJ-40 which has a great story of it once being Micah's grandpa's at one point in time, and Micah went on an adventure of locating it, buying it, and restoring it. 

It's been a great hobby/lifestyle for Micah as well. There's even a huge nationwide club for these Toyota Land Cruisers. They have amazing get togethers throughout the year and Micah has been excited for the big one: Cruise Moab. 

Since Isla and I aren't the best companions for a Moab rock climbing/trail riding trip we headed up to Logan. So Micah's dad was amazing and accompanied Micah.

My job

It's been a couple of months since I've started to watch some of the cutest kids around! Mr Boss-man (Boston) and Miss Phi (Phoenix). It's been such a great time because Isla gets to spend some time with other kids, and learns to share and have fun (well most of the time anyways...)

Some of you might know their mom, Christina (McCann) Shaw, we ran into each other at Gold's Gym last year, and turns out we live really close to one another, and she needed someone to watch her kids while she is in her Graduate Program. I met Christina back in 4th grade in Mrs. Theurer's class! It's also a plus that Micah likes her husband and we can all hang out together with the kids!

We recently went to Temple Square to visit Micah's mom and explore the grounds.

Boston: "Hey, everyone do this!"

Big Girl Bed

Isla is truly a big girl now! We have had her bed up for 3 weeks now and she is in love. She has yet to sleep in her crib since we set it up, insisting on her new "night-night" spot. 

The only problem is that the rails are set up for a XL-Twin. So it doesn't fit her new mattress. Whoops. But we did find the bed frame at a garage sale for $15. So we can't complain TOO much. 

Her room is full of furniture now! We haven't taken down her yellow crib. I just can't seem to let go of it just yet. That or it just takes a long time to dissemble.

Looking at the pictures her room is so plain! I need to get to decorating her room so it isn't so plain. Just another thing to do on the endless list of house duties!

Rugby Alumni 2012

We headed up to Logan for Micah's Rugby Alumni game! We were so excited to cheer for Micah as he played up at the HPER field (which we are so sad that they are tearing down to build a new HPER building). But in the end the old guys won the match 24-0!

Oh the glory days of college! Great memories. Micah was in heaven.

And just in case you might want to know, I still have no idea all the rules of rugby.
